I love the ability to listen to audiobooks in my iTunes library at 1.5 and 2 times the normal speed. The trial only lets you upload 3 books, and I bought the full version with no regrets.

Love this player. Plays everything zipped,MP3s, M4Bs, Etc. Interface is a joy, easy to use, love the book covers. 4 dollars for this player is a bargain. Use player while running, background works great. Rapid -30 seconds is really great for those moments you realize that you had not been listening. Auto pause on phone calls is really great. Thank you

I’ve been using this audio book player for a few weeks for Overcast audio books imported from the library into iTunes. It works very well and the import is easy. You can pick the first MP3 and the rest will import in order. I love how big the buttons are in playback mode, and the ability to go back quite a distance if you missed something. I have not had any problem so far with it losing my place. Well crafted and truly worth the cost. Some things are not intuitive. It is not clear from the interface alone how you import all of a book’s files. Just discovered it by accident. Same thing with how to delete a book from the app. But those are minor annoyances in exchange for a wonderful tool.

I love my iPhone but I hate iTunes - especially for audio books. This app only requires you to open iTunes, not deal with it. I can download books from the library, save them, and then transfer them over. I will never go back to the iTunes way of compiling audio books.

This app is so easy to use that no one would have ever expected it to be so useful. It will play DRM as well as non-DRM audiobooks effortlessly. It is beautifully constructed and designed, and it is free. You would have to be crazy to use anything else. This is the first review I have ever written for an app.

A year later app still does not resume playing properly, backtracking anywhere from minutes to hours. And the developer still does not give a flying hibiscus. The authors attitude toward the customer is summarized on his website: "if you post a 1-star review, and then ask for support, you will not get a response."

Love this app and the ability to create my own custom bookmarks!! The only thing missing is an option to set my bookmarks in descending order, rather than ascending. Add that, and itll be five stars for sure! Keep up the good work! :)

If you listen to audiobooks on iOS there pretty much is no reason to use anything else. Great interface, easy to use, great skipping/searching function waaay above using Apple Music, not too expensive, etc. Designed from the ground up for audiobooks and not music, and it shows. Every once in a while it will skip far behind where I was which is annoying, but takes me a maximum of 30 seconds to find where I was, even if it skipped hours back. This happens maybe once every other audiobook, so quite rarely. Makes my iPhone as an audiobook player a pleasure to use. Get it.

Been using this app for the last 8 months and it is excellent. This is only good option for listening to audiobooks. Apples audiobook support is a joke. My favorite features are: importing a zip file and creating a new book with it, position history with time stamps, and can sort files instead of worrying about tags.

Ive greatly enjoyed using this app for about 6 months. I was surprised to discover the first major bug Ive encountered which affects the playback position when locking/unlocking my phone. It wouldnt be nearly as big of a deal if the playback moved consistently, I could just move playback manually but it changes every single time. Sometimes a few seconds, then many seconds, then many minutes, even forward to parts I have not listened to yet. Aside from the inconveniencing new bug, this app has served me well and I will continue to use it.

With the new update whenever you leave the app or lock the screen the audiobook keeps playing, but when you come back to the app it will rewind to the point at which you left the app.

Great full featured audiobook player with many great options to transfer your audiobooks to the app. Plus I love the entertaining change logs with every patch

I just updated my review after updating this application. I wouldnt pay attention to the negative reviews below because Ive been using this app for over a year and the functionality alone is worth the price of admission. Being able to add bookmarks, etc is great. I have been looking for a good audiobook player for a long time and this is the best one that I found. This is called the freemium model of business where the app developer gives you a taste by allowing you to add three books and then if you want to continue you pay to upgrade to add more books. From what I understand the app store doesnt have free trials although they could do a light version of the app. Perhaps there should be a way to back up bookmarks and be able to restore them if that is an issue. I didnt see any backup options within this application so.... This app works on both my iPhone and iPad. It keeps your place which is great and you can even add bookmarks. I emailed for help and they got back to me super fast to help answer a few questions. This app developer updates this app often which means they work hard on making this a better and better. I have been using it for a long time. I did find they have a website that teaches you how to use this app. Just tap on the star button within the app on the bottom and tap help/FAQ. It is working great I found I can add my own artwork to my personal audiobooks which is cool. I found swipe gestures to skip ahead back and forward etc. I suggest to read their online manual as some of the things are hidden like the swipe up for the left side I had to read to figure that one out. I purchased the in app purchase so I can add more than 3 audiobooks. I used to use an app called bookmark which was awesome but they stopped making that app so I have been looking for a while to find one I really like. This is it. Just take the time to read the help/FAQ as it has a lot of great features that may not be obvious. By the way if you have a lot of CDs that are audiobooks, there is an app on the mac called audiobook builder which is a great way to rip the disks, and make an audiobook. It will even import to iTunes and it will show up as an audiobook and not music. You also can make audiobooks out of files too. I think it may be in the Mac App Store and also on the splasm website.

Cannot recommend this app enough to anyone committed to reading with their ears. Fine-tuned speed control, intelligent bookmarking, customizable play controls, cloud storage file import, this app has it all. Listening to an audiobook using the native player seems laughable thanks to Bookmobile.

An update fixed the problem of the app rewinding your book everytime you unlock your phone, so back up to 4 stars. I think with direct integration into cloud services like Dropbox for streaming and downloading books, and it would be 5 stars.
